The title says it all folks, that's what I've been doing as of late. If you do however notice, there is no "craft" in that title. It's because I haven't been. I actaually haven't even walked to that part of the house. It seems this week has been sort of up in the air. We began painting our kitchen (horray) and have applied 3 coats so far and it still needs at least one more. This paint is so thin that everything shows through. We even put a tinter primer on before we started but to no avail. The primer was the color of pepto bismal. As you can imagine, the boy was moderately distressed with the thought of a pink kitchen (not to say I wasn't) So hopefully, when we get the painting finish we can reclaim the kitchen. It's a huge wreck in there.
We tried out a new italian food place that just opened up down the street. Our neighborhood is lacking in the restaurant department, and luckily this place was absolutely wonderful, so hopefully we wont have to drive 20 minutes just to get to a good place to grab a bite.
I'm at work, and I don't want to do anything at all. Suprise, Suprise. Luckily however, I spend my entire day on the computer so there's always something else to do. ie TYPEPAD!
I did day number 2 of my Couch to 5k Plan and boy, I didn't realize how sore I still was from monday. I did however make a plan last night that I think is a little more suited to my fitness level. Instead of trying to complete the plan in the 8 weeks as specified, I'm going to take a little longer on the beginning weeks then they recommend. There's really no rush for me, and I feel that I'm carrying such a large amount of weight that it might actaully not be good for me to be running so far so fast. SO, instead of moving to week two next week, I'm going to do week 1 again. I couldnt even get through the whole routine yesterday. Instead of the 29 minutes I was supposed to run, I only got to 20. I think it's a huge improvement for myself so i'm not worried. Actaully, i'm proud that I got off my ass and started doing something to improve my health and the way I look.
In other news, our adoption paperwork is still underway at the great dane rescue. The boy and I are extremely excited to add one more to the herd. I never thought I would own a Great Dane, let alone become such a fan of the breed. Huge: yes Stupid: Pretty much. Personality: Fantastic. Fighting over who gets to sit on the couch, Priceless.
Awww! My Aunt Helen had a great dane. Only advice I have is that you train it not to chew. Whenever she would leave the house and Miller didn't want her to go, he would chew her dining room set. Yikes. Good for you to start running. I definately need to. I used to run everyday, now I'm not sure I could run away from the boogyman!
