So there I am at Home Depot, delightfully carrying my way too heavy shelf that I had been longing for my office. I get home, rip open the packaging and begin my attempt at hanging it. Of course, Christopher attempting to do anything in his power to not help me. I rose to the challange; Unfortunatly, I came up dreadfully short. +2 holes in my wall and 15 pencil lines later, i'm still without a shelf and too annoyed to continue. I guess I'll try again tomorrow. If we didn't live in such an old historic house I might possibly be able to install anything at all without creating more of an issue then it should be. oh well, i'll get over the ugly pencil marks, but i'm sure the holes will drive me to drink soon enough.
Maybe i'll just paint the room orange to disguise my mistakes.
[update] i just retried to put up the shelf. Didn't work the second time around either. to finish off this atrocity, i'm going to paint my whole room. that will make all the pencil lines go away. maybe burnt orange. o0o I feel better already
